Oxford Mail Camera Club members have been out snapping pictures of stone.

Photographers went on a treasure trove to snap pictures for the 'Oxfordshire Stone' theme this week.

From the 12th century, Headington stone was quarried from the limestone hills around Oxford so there was plenty to capture.

The selection features University of Oxford college, including Magdalen College which dates back to the 13th century, nearby Godstow Abbey ruins and hidden modern stone gems around the county.

Each week, members pick a theme and post their photos on the club's Facebook page.

A selection of images taken in the city and nearby towns and villages, are chosen to feature in the Oxford Mail, The Oxford Times, and online.

One stand-out image is also chosen each week.
