Two long-serving members of a children’s choir are stepping down after a decade of service.

Sheenagh Dernie, conductor, and accompanist Gill Skidmore have led the Wantage-based Caritas Children’s Choir for the past 10 years, helping to nurture the musical confidence of around 100 children.

Ms Dernie said: "Through Caritas Children’s Choir, Gill and I have had the privilege of developing the voices and the musical confidence of around 100 children in Wantage over the past ten years.

"It would be sad if it all stops here."

The duo is now looking for a new team to carry the choir forward.

The choir has performed at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall and London’s Albert Hall, as well as concerts in Wantage, Abingdon, Swindon, and Oxford.
