Blenheim Palace has announced a line-up of walking routes for National Walking Month in May.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the UNESCO World Heritage Site’s Secret Garden, which will be in full bloom with hellebores in flower, epimediums, bergenia, rhododendrons, and drumstick primulas.
The Secret Garden, in particular, features a newly created stump garden introducing a bold and textural 'spiky' aesthetic with birch trees and ferns.
Within the walled garden, 40 new fruit trees have been introduced, featuring varieties such as ‘Bloody Ploughman’, ‘Belle de Boskoop’, and ‘Belle de Louvain’.

Other highlights on offer are the Park Perimeter, the Cascades, the Queen Pool, and a view of the Palace at the Column of Victory.
A Blenheim Palace spokesperson said: "From the majestic water terraces and hidden winding pathways of the secret garden to the sweeping lakeside views designed by Capability Brown, there’s something new to see during every visit."
Admission to the gardens and parkland are included with a valid Palace, Park & Gardens Ticket or Palace and Play Pass.
