Visitors can see Roman gladiators in action at the Chiltern Open Air Museum during the May Bank Holiday.
The museum is hosting live re-enactments of gladiatorial combat on May 3 and 4.
Audiences will watch as gladiators, from different backgrounds, fight for honour and survival.
The crowd will also have a say in the outcome of the battles, deciding whether to show mercy or call for more action.
Visitors can explore a Roman encampment, try on gladiator equipment, and learn about the life of a Roman fighter.

There will also be a chance to discover what food was enjoyed in late Roman Britain and learn about the daily routines and skills of the time.
The museum provides a chance to explore different historical buildings and enjoy a variety of activities.
The gladiator displays will take place at 12pm and 3pm.
The event is being organised by Britannia, a historical re-enactment group known for their work on TV and film, including Gladiator and Horrible Histories.

The museum is also open to visitors as usual across the bank holiday weekend, with an Amber jewellery making session on May 2.
