Shoppers have been noticing a change at Marks & Spencer in Oxford.
New chiller cabinets have appeared in the food section at the rear of the store in Queen Street.
Staff said the new black cabinets have been introduced on a temporary basis while maintenance work is carried out on existing fridges and freezers.
The opening date for the new M&S foodhall in Abingdon has now been announced.
Work is now taking place at the former Homebase unit at Fairacres Retail Park to prepare for the opening next week.
The retail site spans more than 18,000 sq ft and the foodhall comes as part of the ongoing M&S “rotation and renewal programme”.
The new store is creating 75 jobs and recruitment has been taking place.
M&S has announced the opening date is Wednesday, April 22.

Shoppers in Abingdon have welcomed the opening at the retail park as it will mean they no longer have to travel to M&S in Queen Street in Oxford city centre, or to Summertown, or Didcot.
