Music filled Oxford’s Town Hall as part of a special visit marking a historic international friendship.
The Aisling folk group from Leiden, Oxford’s twin city in the Netherlands, performed for Lord Mayor of Oxford Louise Upton.
During a coffee morning at the Town Hall, the Lord Mayor’s Parlour was filled with music in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Oxford-Leiden link.
The group visited Oxford to perform at the city’s annual Folk Festival.
They played alongside young Irish dancers from Oxford in a concert at St Matthew’s Church and appeared at various venues across the city, including the Covered Market and Leiden Square at the Westgate Centre.
The visit was part of a programme of anniversary events.
