There has been an update on a Bicester man’s sentence for threats to his child’s killer.
Dean Jones, of Murcott, near Bicester, was due to be sentenced on Thursday (April 9) at Oxford Crown Court, however the hearing was adjourned until May 6 as a pre-sentence report was still required.
The 54-year-old pleaded guilty on March 6 to sending communication threatening death or serious harm to Jake Blakeley and Benjamin Blakely.
According to the court record, the alleged incident took place on September 29 last year.

Jones's stepdaughter Jayden Parkinson was murdered in 2013 at the age of 17 by Ben Blakeley, who strangled her to death while she was pregnant with his child before digging up his uncle’s grave and dumping her body in it.
Ben Blakeley, a former binman, was found guilty of murder at Oxford Crown Court in July 2014 and was sentenced to life in prison, to serve a minimum of 20 years.
Blakeley's five-week trial began on June 23, 2014, and was marked by regular outbursts from the man whose relationship with Jayden was described as violent, controlling and obsessive.
After Jayden had separated from him, she discovered that she was pregnant, and Judge Patrick Eccles said in his 2014 closing remarks that she went to meet Blakeley to persuade him about her condition, which he was sceptical of.
He said: “There you strangled her to death in a jealous rage and in doing so gave no thought to the possibility that she might indeed have been carrying your child.
“You created a web of lies about where she might be, accompanied by obscene imprecations that you did not care where she was and that she meant nothing to you.
“It required a heart of stone to keep up that pretence, and a heart of stone as well to deal with her body in the way you did.”
Afterwards the judge explained that Ben Blakeley had dug up Jayden’s body, put it in a suitcase and buried it at All Saints’ Church in Didcot.
Since the murder, Mr Jones said he has suffered with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression.
Mr Jones said: “If you want me to be honest about how Jayden’s death has affected me, my life is ruined.

“If I go anywhere every single thing is a trigger for my PTSD, anxiety and depression disorders.
"I’ve spent seven years hiding in my bus away from people as I can’t cope.”
After the death of his stepdaughter he lived in his car for six months, surviving on benefits due to his low income, before moving into a refitted bus which was moved on “from layby to layby” by council and police authorities.
