Good Morning Britain was taken off air 20 minutes early following a fire alarm at the studio.
The disruption occurred during the live broadcast on Monday, March 9, when presenter Susanna Reid told viewers that an alarm was sounding in her ear and asked producers if she and co-host Ed Balls needed to take any action.
The programme then cut to an ad break and did not return to the studio.
Instead, ITV’s This Morning began airing 20 minutes ahead of schedule.

When cameras cut to presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who appeared unaware they were already on air, Deeley asked producers: "They’re not coming back or they are coming back?"
Shephard replied: "What are we doing?"
The This Morning logo then appeared on screen before the opening credits began.
Why did Good Morning Britain end early?
At the start of the show, Deeley and Shephard explained that Good Morning Britain was cut short due to an evacuation of the studio building.
Mr Shephard said: "We are hopefully going to find 20 minutes of content."
He reassured viewers that everyone in the Good Morning Britain studio was safe.
Mr Shephard said: "They are all absolutely fine but they had to leave the studio."
It is not yet known whether the fire alarm was a drill or was triggered by an actual emergency.
A spokesman for Good Morning Britain said: "Due to an unscheduled fire alarm at the Good Morning Britain studio this morning, our team had to leave the set temporarily.
"While they were able to re-enter the building shortly afterwards, the programme had to end earlier than planned.
"We apologise to viewers for the disruption, with thanks to the This Morning team for appearing on air 20 minutes ahead of schedule."

Good Morning Britain is filmed at ITN’s Gray’s Inn Road studios after relocating at the start of the year.
This Morning is now produced at a studio in Covent Garden.
Both programmes were previously recorded at a shared site in White City.
Good Morning Britain is available to watch on ITV1 and ITVX between from 6am on weekdays.
