Members of the Oxford Mail Camera Club have been taking lots of photos of bridges.

‘Under the bridge’ was the latest theme for our team of talented snappers and they posted photos of bridges across Oxfordshire, and from numerous locations around the world, including in the United States and Australia.

Numerous photographers sent in excellent shots of what goes on beneath bridges crossing the Thames and some were worthy contenders for photo of the week.

We chose instead Ian Marriott’s beautifully lit shot of the Pont de Tusset, a 17th century stone arch bridge crossing the river Verdon.

Each week, camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page.

Photos are featured in the Oxford Mail, The Oxford Times, and online.

The next theme is ‘the big picture’.
