Ellen DeGeneres has bought a £20m mansion in the US in what is shaping up to be a major U-turn following her Cotswolds move to Oxfordshire.
The former US talk show host moved to the UK in November 2024 with her wife and Arrested Development actress Portia de Rossi.
Problems have arisen since the couple's move to Oxfordshire with reports of flooding in the area where the house is located.
This prompted a recent move to a different mansion in the Cotswolds area, around 30 minutes from the last residence.

Their old house, Kitesbridge Farm, was put up for sale last year with Sotheby’s International Realty for £22.5m, which was a £7.5m decrease from the reported £30m that the couple paid for it just months prior.
Now, Ms DeGeneres is thought to have snapped up a mansion back in her home country for $27m, which roughly converts to £20m.
Speaking on the new mansion in Southern California, People reports that the new pad is close to where the couple’s friends Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow live.
“She's not moving back to the U.S. but will continue to split her time between both the U.K. and Montecito,” a source told the site.

The insider added that the couple have been “missing the California weather and horse scene" since their relocation to the UK.
"Portia loves polo and her horses," added the inside source in further quotes shared with People.
Ms DeGeneres revealed last summer that her move to the Cotswolds was to escape US President Donald Trump.
The move back, even if only between there and Oxfordshire, reflects a major U-turn on this decision, given the 79-year-old remains in charge.
