Greene King is looking for somebody to take on an East Oxford pub.
The Cricketers Arms in Temple Road, Cowley is to continue trading and it will be "business as usual" while recruitment begins for a new franchisee.
With an estimated annual turnover of £410,800, the franchisee could earn himself about £40,348 per year, Greene King said.
However, on the day somebody takes the keys to the pub, there would be entry costs of £3,000 that need to be settled on the day comprising legal fees and start up training costs.

The contract is for a five-year nest pub franchise agreement, described by Greene King as being a low-cost way of running a pub as the business is already there and set up.
Greene King describes The Cricketers Arms as a "spacious, welcoming local pub" with a "large" garden and a "genuine community feel" to it.
Meanwhile, a significant refurbishment is planned for the pub.
"The interior will be modernized to create a trendy yet comfortable and friendly environment, with two main bar areas—one for sports, one as a lounge or snug—offering flexibility for quiet afternoons, lively sports evenings and live entertainment," a Greene King spokesman said.
"The large garden will be enhanced to maximize 'al fresco' trade and family appeal, making it a standout feature for locals year-round.
"The aim is to broaden the pub’s appeal to families, regulars, and real-ale enthusiasts from the surrounding area, not tourists.
"We’re seeking a franchisee who builds strong local relationships, creates a friendly atmosphere, and drives sales through events and great service.

A planning application was submitted in November detailing the proposals to Oxford City Council.
Planning documents say the refurbishment is "much needed" and that it is hoped the pub will be "brought back to its former glory" while re-establishing its populating in Cowley.
The documents add: "The availability of take-home drink from supermarkets and off-licences and take-away and chilled foods, together with increasing fixed costs and increased tax on beer, has in so many instances accelerated pub closures."
The Cricketers Arms is hosting music nights every Saturday, with this upcoming one being a funky nights disco and karaoke night.
The following Saturday, January 24, Andy Fisher will be brining the sounds of Dire Straits, The Communards, Van Morrison, Tears For Fears, The Killers and more.
It also has Sky Sports, BT Sports, a beer garden with a children's play area, a barbecue area and serves pub food.
