A driver was arrested after 'failing a drug wipe test' during a police operation in Oxfordshire.
The main focus for the patrols during December is around drink and drug driving, however vehicle safety was also being looked at by the officers.
The fire service, which joined the patrol, said 14 vehicles were stopped and inspected, with a variety of offences and issues found.

Five vehicles were found to be overweight, and three 3.5 tonnes recovery vehicles were stopped.
Two of these were overweight and one was untaxed.
One panel van had three wheels with wheel nuts missing and its front indicators had been painted over, said the fire service.
Meanwhile, one van with a trailer had no rear number plate and an insecure load.
Only four of the vehicles stopped had no faults, and one driver reportedly failed a drug wipe test and was later arrested.

The fire service added: "Drug driving has the same effect as alcohol on your ability to drive safely and drugs can remain in your system for over 30 days.
"The good news was no one was found over the drink drive limit, but police will still be out targeting drivers over the festive period.
"Never drink and drug drive and remember you can still be over the limit the next day."
