Holly Willoughby is set to beat a Cotswolds celebrity to become the new Strictly Come Dancing presenter.
The presenting duo of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced on Thursday, October 23, that they are leaving the BBC dance programme.
With many names thrown into the hat as replacements, Cotswolds resident and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden was being considered.
However, now it is said that BBC bosses are likely to pick Dancing on Ice and This Morning star Holly Willoughby instead.

Writing in the Daily Mail, Richard Eden states that former BBC One Controller Peter Fincham has claimed the 44-year-old will take over on the dancing show.
Mr Fincham was allegedly tipped off by a hairdresser in his salon via a "top media source".
"My hairdresser also cuts the hair of a well-known channel controller,’ he revealed, as per Mr Eden.
"What’s said in Harry’s the hairdresser stays in Harry’s. But he says with great confidence that Holly Willoughby will take over."

In a joint statement, the current co-hosts, who have fronted the series together since 2014, said they would be leaving the show at the end of the current series.
“We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream,” they said.
“We were always going to leave together, and now feels like the right time.
“We will have the greatest rest of this amazing series, and we just want to say an enormous thank you to the BBC and to every single person who works on the show.
“They’re the most brilliant team, and we’ll miss them every day.
“We will cry when we say the last ‘keep dancing’, but we will continue to say it to each other. Just possibly in tracksuit bottoms at home while holding some pizza.”
