The name of a motorcyclist who died in hospital after hitting a deer on a rural road has been revealed at an inquest opening.
The fatal crash happened on the A4130 Port Hill in Nettlebed, near Henley-on-Thames at just after 4.50am on Monday (October 13).
The motorcyclist was travelling from Nettlebed towards Wallingford when the deer ran into the road and was struck, causing the rider and Yamaha FJY 1300 motorcycle to land on the carriageway.

The incident occurred in darkness on an unlit, damp rural road, Thames Valley Police said.
The man was treated for his injuries at the scene before being conveyed to hospital with serious injuries, but died in hospital on Thursday.
He has now been named as Yawo Avou, a 63-year-old meal delivery driver who resided in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Mr Avou, who was born in Akoumape, Togo, was travelling to work when he struck the deer, an inquest opening held at Oxford Coroner's Court by area coroner Nicholas Graham on Thursday (October 23) heard.
A cause of death has been given as multi organ failure and polytrauma injuries.
The full inquest is set to take place at the same court on April 9, 2026 at 10.45am.
Following the crash, investigating officer PC Ruan Brink, from the Roads Policing Unit, said: “This was a very tragic incident whereby the motorcyclist has been involved in a collision with wildlife on an unlit section of the A4130.

“He was treated in hospital for his injuries, but very sadly died on Thursday.
“His next of kin are aware and are being supported by specially trained family liaison officers, and our thoughts are with them at this extremely difficult time.
