Rumours of Emma Watson getting engaged to marry at Oxford University are circling after she flashed a diamond ring on her ring finger.

The Hollywood star, who played Hermione Granger in all eight Harry Potter movies, grew up in the city after being born in Paris.

Having taken an indefinite leave from acting in recent years, she has instead been focused on pursuing her academic goals.

Ms Watson opted to study a Master’s degree in creative writing in September 2023, before it was announced in February that she had switched to a DPhil.

Now, rumours are starting to circulate suggesting that the 35-year-old may have become engaged to marry.

Appearing at Paris Fashion Week, the actress seemed "unusually keen to spend time in front of the cameras" outside the Miu Miu show at the Palais d'lena, according to the Daily Mail.

On her left hand, Ms Watson was wearing an "impressive, vintage-style sparkler on her ring finger containing a large diamond".

As recently as last month, the actress described the pressure to marry from society as "violence and cruelty" towards women.

Speaking on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, she added: "I hope it happens to me, but I don't feel entitled to it.

"It will either be part of my purpose here and my destiny, or it won't."
