A comedy legend is heading to Oxford following his interjection into the debate around national flags.
Big John will be in Oxford on Monday, September 15, the first day of Oxford Brookes ‘Freshers Week’.
Real name John Fisher, the 51-year-old rose to online fame due to his love of Chinese food and his “bosh” catchphrase.

However, his recent media appearances have been of a more serious nature.
Earlier this week he appeared on BBC Newsnight where he discussed the ongoing debate surrounding national flags.
“I love my country; I’m a proud Englishman,” said Big John.
He added: “You can see why people are doing it because a lot of institutions around the country won’t put up the flags, so people are sort of taking it among themselves.”
All around England and the UK, St George’s Flags and Union Jacks have been flown from lampposts and other buildings, as well as painted on roads.
This includes in Oxfordshire where a St George’s Cross was painted on a roundabout in Abingdon.
He said it was “normal people” doing it and though he understood, every “now and again” there is an “isolated incident that isn’t good”.

This was partially a reference to an incident in York last month when a Chinese takeaway was vandalised with slogans including 'go home'.
Though he isn’t scheduled to go to the northern city in September he said he is due there in the coming weeks and has promised to eat at the restaurant as soon as he can.
“People that are working here shouldn’t be targeted like that,” Big John said, “no-one should be targeted like that”.
