JD Vance hosted a barbecue with famous faces at the manor he is staying at during his Cotswolds holiday.
The US Vice President arrived at Dean Manor, near Chipping Norton, on Sunday, August 10 for a week’s break.
And while the hamlet has been on lockdown with access denied to anybody without authority to do so, there were some who arrived for a summer barbecue.
Former The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner, who has gained a huge social media presence for his upbeat and positive persona since leaving the show, was invited round on Monday evening.
Another cracking day with the family in the Cotswoldsf! Took the kids to the magical Fairytale Farm – they absolutely loved it! Then finished up with a late lunch at Jeremy Clarkson’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog. The Rhu-Bastard cider is the guvna. Love that it only serves produce from… pic.twitter.com/4hMItW1yVT

Mr Skinner, 34, said of the night: “When the Vice President (VP) of the USA invites you for a BBQ an beers, you say yes.
“Unreal night with JD and his friends and family. He was a proper gent. Lots of laughs and some fantastic food. A brilliant night, one to tell the grandkids about mate.”
He added: “I’m overdressed in my suit, but when the VP invites you to a BBQ, you don’t risk turning up in shorts and flip-flops.”

The Times has reported the two have bonded over social media.
It also reported that James Orr, an academic formerly of the University of Oxford and now in Cambridge, was also in attendance.
The pair are also friends, with Mr Vance once describing Mr Orr as the "British sherpa".
Mr Orr has often debated the topic of free speech.
As well as Mr Orr and Mr Skinner, the barbecue was also attended by Danny Kruger, the Tory MP for Devizes in Wiltshire.
On Wednesday morning, it is understood the Vice President is to host Reform leader Nigel Farage for a breakfast.
