Channel 5 is set to launch a brand new quiz show starring major presenters Jeremy Vine and Carol Vorderman.
From Pointless to The 1% Club, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire to The Chase, there is already a wide range of quiz shows on TV.
However, Vorderman and Vine believe their new Channel 5 show has what it takes to stand out from the rest.
What to expect from Carol Vorderman and Jeremy Vine's new quiz show - Celebrity Puzzling
Celebrity Puzzling will begin next week on Channel 5 with Vine as host and Vorderman and former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay as team captains.
Celebrities already confirmed to be taking part in the show include:
- Les Dennis
- Shaun Williamson
- Scarlett Moffat
- Melvin Odoom
Vine, who previously hosted quiz show Eggheads, said: "It’s a format where you can win without necessarily knowing the date of the Battle of Hastings or the name of the horse in the painting in The National Gallery.
“You can come to it with an open mind, an open heart.”
The BBC Radio 2 presenter continued: "All those really simple quizzes of the kind we had in notebooks on family holidays in the Eighties and the Nineties."
Vine added: "Having presented graphics for the general election, I won’t say it’s got the most cutting edge graphics in the world, but that’s part of the charm of it…”

Every episode has a different combination of puzzles, so you never know what’s coming as a viewer.
Vine said this means you'll need to “watch it with quite undivided attention”.
Vorderman added: “At the end of it you’ll smile and feel you’ve done something. Your brain will be happy.”
Vorderman used to play the iconic role of mathematician on Countdown (until 2008) and has also written numerous coding books for children.
But she said she "loves" this new game show on Channel 5.

Vorderman said: “I love it because it’s puzzling, it’s not quizzing. Countdown was always a puzzle. Richard Whiteley used to call it a parlour game."
The 64-year-old said having the pluck the correct answer from memory, rather than work it out, "thoroughly irritates" her.
Vorderman explained: "I don’t find that interesting, but I find chess and Sudoku interesting because that’s how my brain works.
“Celebrity Puzzling has got all of it all together in the right proportions. It is puzzling. It’s a little bit of general knowledge, not too much.”

When to watch Celebrity Puzzling on Channel 5
