An Eynsham skincare brand has won a European award for its natural deodorant.
Neve’s Bees won gold in the deodorant category at the 14th annual Free From Skincare Awards for its Bee Gentle Natural Deodorant.
The awards celebrate skincare products free from artificial ingredients, animal-based ingredients, and common allergens - products designed for those with skin sensitivities or environmental concerns.
Julie Macken, co-founder and 'deputy queen bee' at Neve’s Bees, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to have won gold for our Bee Gentle Natural Deodorant.
"We created this product for people with sensitive skin, allergies, or those who simply prefer to keep things simple and scent-free.
"To have it recognised in such a meaningful award – one that’s judged by real people over weeks of real-life use – means a lot to a small business like ours.
"It really affirms our belief that natural, nourishing skincare can be both effective and gentle."
The awards were announced online following a month-long evaluation by four experienced cosmetic testers and final expert judging sessions in early May.
One tester said: "No pongs, no irritation, no rash, doesn’t block pores, and best of all it lasts and lasts. Absolutely love it."
Another added: "Very smooth consistency... I stayed fresh all day.
"It’s more gentle and moisturising than my usual deodorant and not at all irritating. Effective, gentle and a pleasure to use."
