Oxford University student Emma Watson left staff "breathless" after a surprise visit to a city shop.
The actress played Hogwarts witch Hermione Granger in all eight films of the franchise alongside co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.
Ms Watson has turned her attention to studies after her iconic role in J.K. Rowling's series, as well as parts in Hollywood films The Perks of Being a Wallflower and Little Women.
The 34-year-old had been studying a master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Oxford since September 2023.

It was revealed in February that Ms Watson had switched to a DPhil, which is Oxford's version of a PhD.
Ms Watson grew up in the city and has been spotted here occasionally since her global fame and coming back to the university.
One Oxford shopkeeper has chosen to close his framing business after 25 years and has now revealed that he served the Harry Potter actress.
Joseph James started The Oxford Framing Gallery on London Road, Headington, in 2000 and has served Ms Watson on multiple occasions.
“Emma used us several times, and she was getting an abstract framed that she painted herself,” he said.

“Personally, I have never seen Harry Potter, so I wasn’t fussed, but our part-time young assistant couldn’t breathe, and she nearly passed out.
“She just kept saying ‘it’s Emma Watson, it's Emma Watson!’
“Emma was just a normal girl, came in with her parents and was more than happy to sign numerous books and DVDs.”
The Oxford Framing Gallery will close next week after Joseph took the decision to prioritise his family moving forward.
