A police cordon is in place outside a fast-food chicken restaurant in Oxford.

The cordon has been put up around Popeyes on Queen Street in the city centre.

There appears to be rubble on the floor directly outside the eatery and the glass entrance appears to be damaged.

(Image: Contributed) An eyewitness told us: "Looks to have had a bin catch fire inside the restaurant, the charred bin is outside and police have cordoned off the store with officers stood inside the cordon."

Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue have been contacted for further information.
