A car crashed into a tree on an Oxfordshire country road this morning.

Photos from the scene show a black car in a ditch next to a tree on the London Road, just before the A420 near Faringdon at around 10am.

The car appears to be a Fiat Punto and photos from the scene show it had been abandoned.

A420 crash (Image: Contributed) Thames Valley Police confirmed it was a 'damage only collision'. No arrests have been made and no injuries were suffered as a result of the crash.

This comes after emergency roadworks caused rush-hour delays on the same road earlier this month.

It's also the same road where a lorry was recently seized for having no insurance.
