Jonathan Bailey has been nominated for a prestigious award for his role in box office hit Wicked.
The actor, who was born in Wallingford and grew up in Benson, scored a Screen Actors Guild nomination in the best supporting actor category for his role as Prince Fiyero in the musical spin-off film.
Wicked, which tells the origin story of the Wizard of Oz's Wicked Witch of the West and is based on the West End musical of the same name, picked up five award nominations in total.

Mr Bailey's fellow cast members also received nods, with Cynthia Erivo up for best actress for her role as Elphaba and Ariana Grande for best supporting actress as Glinda.
As Wicked lead the way, the SAG awards are thought to be a good indication for who might win an Academy Award, with the Oscar nominations to be announced next week.
On Sunday, the film was awarded the cinematic and box office achievement prize at the Golden Globe Awards in Hollywood, though the cast missed out on the acting awards.

The nominations for the 31st annual SAG awards were supposed to be announced on Wednesday morning at a Netflix-streamed event hosted by actors Joey King and Cooper Koch.
However, the nominations were cancelled and instead released online due to the “wildfires and adverse wind conditions in Los Angeles”, a spokesperson said.
The winners of the 13 awards across film and television will be revealed in a ceremony hosted by Kristen Bell on February 23.
