An Oxford child has raised £1,000 for a charity that supported him during his leukaemia treatment.
Nine-year-old James Pugh, who began treatment at the John Radcliffe Hospital in 2017 when he was two, organised a cake sale at Buckland Primary School to raise the funds.
The sale, which took place on September 27, featured many cakes baked by James himself.
James' treatment lasted more than three years, but he is now in remission.
September was Child Cancer Awareness Month, making James' fundraising effort even more significant.
The money will go to Rosie's Rainbow Fund, a charity that provided music therapy to him while he was in hospital.
The charity is 'very close' to James's heart.
James' family said that there was 'overwhelming generosity' from the community, which included the chef of a local pub providing James with personalised chef whites, and the Lamb Tavern, which allowed him to bake in its kitchen.
