A celebration of Britain's national drink is set to take place.
Cask Ale Week 2024 will see pubs, breweries, and drinkers across the country - including Oxfordshire - celebrate cask ale.
The event, organised by Cask Marque, will run from September 19 to 29.
Cask Marque has worked with The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), The British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA), and The British Institute of Innkeeping (Bii) to hold the annual campaign.
During the week, pubs across the UK will host events, promotions, and competitions to encourage people to enjoy cask ale.
This includes tap takeovers, beer festivals, ale tastings, and pub quizzes.
In Oxfordshire, Hook Norton Brewery will celebrate the week as well as its 175th anniversary.
Hook Norton’s 175th Anniversary Trail will take place throughout the week with more than 30 pubs involved and prizes to be won.
The Oxford Downs Cricket Club will hold its third beer festival on Saturday, September 28, with 12 cask ales, cider, and a gin bar.
The 16th annual Choko Beer Festival will take place at Laurence Hall in Cholsey on Saturday, September 28.
Paul Nunny, director of Cask Marque, said: "Cask Ale Week is an annual event helping to not only promote cask beer as a national favourite but also highlight the importance that pubs bring to local communities."
