The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
LEIGH CLARKE, 33, of Briary Way, Carterton, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal damage in Witney on December 16 last year after damaging a drink glass and a front door to the value of £300 in Corn Street. He also pleaded guilty to one count of common assault on the same day. He was given a community order to abstain from alcohol for 90 days and to complete six months of mental health treatment. He was also ordered to complete up to 30 days of rehabilitation activity and to pay £400 in compensation. There were court costs of £85.
STUART GLEN, 30, of Windrush Valley Road, Witney, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, Fettiplace Road, Witney, on March 27 this year – namely a fire extinguisher and an axe. He also pleaded guilty to one count of harassment on the same day by walking past the victim's home address and shouting out for a fight and turning up to her home with a fire extinguisher and an axe. He was given 26 week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months. He was made subject to electronic monitoring and needs to complete six months of mental health treatment. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the fire extinguisher and axe. There were court costs of £85.
JACK SARLL, 27 of Cole Court, Didcot, pleaded guilty to three counts of drug driving in Didcot on January 30 this year and one count of being a driver for a vehicle which failed to stop after a road accident on January 31 on the A4130 Perimeter Road, Didcot – damage was caused to the front end of a Volkswagen vehicle. He was given a community order to complete up to 10 days of rehabilitation activity and to complete 200 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for four years. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.
RICHARD JAKEMAN, 67, of Station Road, Ringstead, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Chipping Norton on March 12 this year. He was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for 18 months. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.
DANIEL FERGUSON, 42, of Hornbeam Road, Bicester, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, on January 14 this year in Ducklington Lane, Witney. He was fined £100 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the cannabis. There were no orders for costs.
