A ROAD in Oxford City Centre is now closed for three days for a historic fair.
The 2024 fair will be the 400th anniversary of St Giles' Fair in the city. It will be held from Monday, September 9 until Tuesday (September 10), operating from 11am to 11pm.
As a result, the A4144 St Giles Road is closed from 12am Sunday until 8am on Wednesday (September 11).

Traffic measures will be in place to manage vehicles and the safety of pedestrians for the event
Originating in 1625 as a parish festival honoring St Giles, the fair evolved over centuries.
Initially, it was a toy fair in the 18th century but it transformed into a children's fair in the early 19th century.
