Didcot Railway Centre took visitors back to the golden age of the Great Western Railway at the weekend.
The Steam Day aimed to offer the sights, sounds and smells of steam.
Visitors explored a 21-acre living museum with trains dating from Victorian times to the 1960s.
The event took place on Sunday, September 1, and the next Steam Days will be held next Sunday, September 8, and then on September 14 and 15.
During the event, steam trains operate on at least one of the centre's two demonstration lines, offering unlimited rides.
On many days, the second line will be running as well, and may feature a pioneering diesel railcar, a heritage diesel locomotive or a small branch line steam engine.
There are also a range of other experiences, sights and children's entertainment on offer at the Steam Days.
