A car was stolen on the M40 by two people pretending to be police officers using a car with blue lights.
The incident occurred between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday, August 20, on the M40 southbound between Junction 7 and Junction 8.
The victim was indicated to stop by an unmarked vehicle using blue lights while driving towards London which they did on the hard shoulder.
They were approached by two individuals who instructed them to exit their vehicle before entering the driver’s seat and made off leaving the victim on the hard shoulder.

Both suspects were wearing items that resembled police uniforms including a cap and protective vest.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “We are appealing for any information that may assist us in identifying this vehicle or its occupants including any dashcam footage or any witnesses who were driving on the M40 at the time of the incident.
“If you believe you have information, please contact the police by calling 101, or making a report online via our website, quoting the reference 43240400693.
“If you are ever approached by individuals who you believe are impersonating a police constable, remain inside your vehicle and contact the police immediately on 999, if it is safe to do so, to confirm their identity.
