With the new school year approaching, Blenheim Palace is set to launch a new back to school campaign.
The 'Bee Adventurous' campaign, in partnership with Rowse Honey, will include a temporary bee trail aiming to teach young visitors about the pollinators.
The trail, which will be at the Woodstock site's children's play area, Adventure Play, will start from September 2 and run until September 30.
Children will be able to take part in bee challenges across each play zone while learning about the estate's bees.
The trail, which is suitable for children aged two to 12, will see participants awarded a special bee badge upon completion.
In addition to the trail, from now until September 30, families can buy a children's margarita or pepperoni pizza, juice carton and tub of ice cream for £10 as part of an offer at the walled garden pizzeria.
Earlier this year, Blenheim Palace announced the launch of its new palace and play pass, which gives visitors unlimited access to Adventure Play as well as to the place, park and gardens.
It is aimed at families, and current annual pass holders can also upgrade to gain unlimited access to Adventure Play.
The annual pass grants visitors access to a range of areas and activities including Marlborough Maze, the walled garden and potager garden, the Rowse Honey bee trail and hive, the butterfly house, Adventure Play and the palace, park and gardens.
The palace, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1987, is set in more than 2,000 acres of landscaped park and gardens.
Heather Carter, managing director at Blenheim Palace, said: "Our new palace and play pass has been a huge hit this year and we’re delighted to offer our new bee trail as another value added activity offering for families to enjoy as part of it.
"Heading back to school in September is exciting but can also be a bit of a daunting time for some, so we’re encouraging learning in a unique environment whilst exploring and playing outdoors.
"Combining education and play is perfect for the back-to-school season."
Families of four, comprising two adults and two children, can buy the palace and play pass for £150, while individual passes can be bought for £50 per adult and £40 per child.
The palace and play pass is required for families to take part in the bee trail.
Existing family annual pass holders can upgrade to the new palace and play pass for £51 and individual annual passes can be upgraded for £18 per child and £12 per adult.
