The dates have been announced for an historic town fair.
Witney Feast is one of the town's oldest celebrations, dating back nearly 800 years to mark the rededication of St Mary’s Church.
It is traditionally held on the two days following the first Sunday of September - the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin.
Festivities include a civic service at St Mary's Church on Sunday evening before the congregation moves to the Golden Gallopers carousel on The Leys for a blessing conducted by St Mary's Church.
The fair at the Feast, run by Bob Wilson’s Funfairs, gets under way on the Monday and Tuesday evenings and is the largest in the town and one of the biggest in the county with over 60 rides.
Star Flyer, Space, Superstar, Extreme, Jumping Frogs, Dominator, Stargate are some of the rides you’re likely to encounter in 2024.
Along with traditional rides such as the Waltzer and Dodgems, there is the Wild Mouse roller coaster and a family-friendly smaller version – the Dragon Coaster.
Some of the rides that come to Witney are exclusive and not seen at the St Giles’ Fair in Oxford while last year's fair was open until 11pm on both nights.
Witney Town Council said Witney Feast "is on probably the latest dates it can fall on this year".
It will take place on Monday 16 to Tuesday, September 17 2024.
