Oxfordshire has been named the most affordable place to set up camp across the UK.
According to new research, the average price for camping in the county is £37 for a two-night tent pitch.
Many sites are set in picturesque locations such as the Cotswolds, offering a blend of scenic beauty and accessibility to nearby attractions like Blenheim Palace and the historic city of Oxford.

The research was conducted by credit card company Aqua and analysed metrics including the number of walking trails, the number of campsites, average costs, average rainfall, and average temperature in each area.
Dumfries and Galloway, with an average cost of £38 per tent pitch, ranks second. Staffordshire comes in third, with an average tent pitch cost of £41.50 for two nights on site.
