AFTER a trial, a Banbury man is now due to be sentenced for sexually assaulting a woman in Oxford.
Oliver Joy, of George Street, Banbury, was on trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (August 7) charged with one count of sexual assault on a female.

It was heard that the 43-year-old had sexually assaulted a woman on February 21 this year in Oxford. The complainant cannot be named for legal reasons.

He was charged under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Joy was found guilty and his case has now been adjourned for a sentencing hearing.
He is next due to appear in the same court on October 1 for his sentence. He could face a prison sentence or/and a fine.
