A re-imagined version of Treasure Island is being performed in Oxford this summer.
The family-friendly production is set in the grounds of Wycliffe Hall, Oxford, and will run until August 17.
Creation Theatre's adaptation of the tale sees Jim Hawkins on a journey filled with discovery and betrayal.
Audience members can expect pirates, sea shanties and skirmishes.
Dr Helen Eastman, CEO and artistic director of Creation Theatre, said: "This summer, as well as our Shakespeare production, we wanted to create a production for all the family - some magical storytelling that every generation could enjoy together.
"Gari's Treasure Island is just pure joy. Lots of pirating tomfoolery, traditional sea shanties, an unruly pirate, and some spirited battling - I can't think of anything more glorious on a summer afternoon or evening."
The bar will open an hour before performances, with seats available for those not bringing picnics.
There is a canopy to shelter from the sun and rain, and picnic blanket tickets, for up to four people, are on sale.
Dr Eastman added: "Productions are in the round so all of the audience will be really close to the action, and you'll be witnessing some incredible performances from some of the UK's finest actors, inches from your picnic."
Tickets for Treasure Island are available on Creation Theatre's website.
