Bicester Fire Station's crew manager has left after serving in a number of roles over 20 years.
John Campbell bid farewell to his colleagues, ending a two-decade tenure that saw him rise through the ranks.
Bicester Fire Station said on social media: "Today we say goodbye and thank you to crew manager John Campbell."
Mr Campbell began his career at the station as a firefighter before he moved on to roles within Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, including watch manager.
During this time he remained Bicester's station support officer for a number of years.
After moving on from that to Banbury, he continued to provide on call cover as a crew manager.
By working at Bicester Fire Station, Mr Campbell was following in the footsteps of his dad, Paul, who also worked at the station as a firefighter.
