A TRIAL date has been set for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Witney.

Robert Pollard, of Lancut Road, Witney, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 30) charged with one count of sexual assault on a female.

The 34-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Witney on November 21, 2021. The woman cannot be named in this case due to legal reasons.

Pollard appeared in the lower court for his first hearing. The case has now been adjourned and a trial date has been scheduled.

It is due to take place on August 29 at the same court.

If guilty, Pollard could face a prison sentence or/and a fine. He has been granted bail.
