A member of RAF Brize Norton has been celebrated for his "remarkable contribution" after a 42-year career in the air force.
During his career, Master Aircrew Dave Barsby has been stationed at numerous facilities in the UK.
He has also participated in detachments, exercises, and operations in the Middle East, the USA, the Far East and Europe.
Group Captain Gareth Burdett said: "Master Aircrew Barsby’s contribution over more than four decades of service has been remarkable: from representing the combined services at basketball to delivering humanitarian assistance on both C130 and C17.
"All of those thousands of hours of operating our aircraft meant that his last role leading the implementation of flight data analysis across the RAF has been a really successful capstone to a wonderful career.
"We wish him the very best of luck for the future."
He has supported the community through various roles including as a founding member of the first responder scheme, and has raised thousands for station charities and organised a range of social events for serving personnel and their families at RAF Brize Norton.
