Wallingford Rowing Club achieved a first this month by winning the junior and overall Victor Ludorum at the British Rowing Championships.
Wallingford Rowing Club, which is a small community club, was among hundreds of clubs competing.
Held from Friday, July 19 until Monday, July 22, the British Rowing Club and Junior Championships are the annual culmination of the domestic rowing season, at the National Water Sports Centre in Holme Pierrepont, Nottinghamshire.

Wallingford Rowing Club raced on all four days with juniors ranging from 14 to 18 years old.
The club won the Junior and overall Victor Ludorum for the first time in it's history.
It also won an unprecedented six medals, including three gold, two silver and one bronze.

Club members Naomi Bell, Florence Schilizzi, Lucy Mead and Lily Clayton, with cox Alice Hull, had just returned from representing Great Britain for the first time in the annual GB-France match for J16s.
Coxes are responsible for the crew on the water and steering the boat.
The GB team won the whole match which took place in Lery-Poses en Normandie in France on July 13.
