The driver of a shocking pink four-door BMW was in for a nasty surprise when he was pulled over by police after being caught without insurance.

Police Constables Dollery and Jenkins with the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Task Force spotted the hot pink car travelling from Bampton towards Faringdon this afternoon (Tuesday, July 16).

Officers with the rural crime task force posted on its Facebook page that the car was 'pretty hard to miss'.

The officers stopped the flashy vehicle when it reached Faringdon where it was confirmed that it was uninsured.

The driver has now been reported to court and the  vehicle has been seized, police said.
