A 30-year-old man from Berinsfield has been arrested following an robbery in Oxford and remains in custody.

Police say a man cycled down Barns Road, Cowley, and boarded a bus, which stopped outside Templars Bar, at around 11.15pm on Saturday, July 6.

He then allegedly threatened the bus driver with a needle before taking a quantity of cash from the till.

The bus driver triggered the alarm and the offender ran down the pedestrian walkway past the side of Templars Bar, police said.
