A man grabbed a driver’s throat through his car window during a fit of road rage in Oxfordshire.
The incident occurred on Sunday, June 30 at around 12pm when a man in his 50s was merging onto A40 eastbound at Oxford Hill in Witney.
He pulled into the slow lane to avoid hitting the offender’s car but the offender then exited their car and approached the victim’s car.
The offender leant through the open window and grabbed the victim’s throat before hitting the wing mirror of the victim’s car whilst walking off.

He then drove off in a dark coloured Range Rover Evoque.
He is described as a male of mixed ethnic background in his 30s who is approximately 6ft tall and of a slim build with a dark beard and dark hair.
The offender was wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses and a white t-shirt and shorts while he also had a tattoo on the right side of his neck.
Investigating officer PC Sam Fogden, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone with information about what happened, to please come forward.

“If you were in the area around the time and have any CCTV footage or any dash-cam footage, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
