AN inquest has opened into the death of a mechanical engineer who was struck by a train near Abingdon.
Nicholas Lawrence, 41, died on May 27 this year at Radley Railway Station.
Police attended the station at 5.25pm that day.

An inquest opening at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Thursday (June 13) heard that he was struck by a train.
A medical cause of death, after a post-mortem examination, has been provided as ‘massive trauma.’
The circumstances surrounding Mr Lawrence’s death are currently unknown.
Mr Lawrence lived in Marlborough Close, Littlemore.
Area coroner Nicholas Graham has set a date for a full inquest to take place at the same court on October 3 at 11.45am.
