POLICE have warned that there has been an increase of VW Golf vehicle thefts across West Oxfordshire.
Thames Valley Police states that over the last few days, officers have seen an increase in thefts due to key-cloning/hacking.
It is now advising owners to purchase a ‘ghost immobiliser’.

Writing about the thefts on Thames Valley alerts, the force said: “There was attempted theft in the Witney area, however, the thieves were not successful due to the ghost immobiliser.
“Ghost immobiliser protects your vehicle from key-cloning, key theft and hacking through a unique pin code that you choose to protect your vehicle.
Essentially the only way someone can take your vehicle with the system is to actually tow it away and they still wouldn't be able to drive the vehicle.”
