THE Crown Prosecution Service has charged a man accused of throwing a dog across a room.
Jordan Baskerville, of Parsons Place, Oxford, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (June 6) charged with causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
The 29-year-old is accused of throwing a dog across a room and pushing its head into a sofa on November 17 last year.

It is unknown what the breed of the dog is.
Baskerville has also been charged with one count of assault by beating of a woman on the same day.
His case has now been adjourned after the first hearing.
He is next due to appear in the lower courts on June 29 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
