DRONE footage of a cliff where a boy was thrown from by a man has been released by police following conviction.

Anthony Stocks, of Iceni Close, Goring, was found guilty at Oxford Crown Court today (June 6) of attempting to murder a boy, 10, after he tried to intervene with Stocks assaulting an underage girl.

The 54-year-old had sexually assaulted the girl on several occasions in the early 2020s and the boy had tried to stop the assaults, resulting in Stocks trying to kill the boy.

Stocks then took the boy to Ovingdean, Brighton on September 22, 2024 where he threw the boy over the 100ft drop.

An air ambulance was called and the boy miraculously survived despite several fractures.

Stocks was later charged with attempted murder after a police investigation unveiled the sexual abuse offences which had been happening before.

The jury also found Stocks guilty of four counts of sexual assault of a child under 13, one charge of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and one count of rape of a child on at least three occasions.

He will be sentenced at the same court at a later date to be confirmed. He was told it is likely to be a 'lengthy custodial' sentence by Judge Nigel Daly.
