A bridge over the Thames has reopened after a police incident.
Thames Valley Police were called to Wallingford Bridge at around midday today (June 4) following concerns for the welfare of an individual.
The road over the historic bridge, which connects Wallingford and Crowmarsh Gifford, was closed to traffic and pedestrians for a time.
Police have confirmed the bridge has now reopened.
A force spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police were called to a fear for welfare on Wallingford Bridge at 12.06pm this afternoon (4/6).
"A road closure was put in place.
"This has now been resolved and the bridge has now re-opened.”
