A man is due to appear in court charged with rape in an Oxfordshire town.

Conor Fitzpatrick, of West Wycombe Road, High Wycombe, was charged on Wednesday (May 22).

The 31-year-old is accused of five counts of rape and one count of possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in Abingdon between May 17 and 19, Thames Valley Police said.

Fitzpatrick appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (May 23).

He has been further remanded and is now due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on June 21.
