The deadline to sign up for the 20th Blenheim Palace Triathlon is looming, with organisers making a final call for people to take part.

Entries for this event will close at 11.59pm on Friday, May 24.

It is the only triathlon to take place in the grounds of a UNESCO World Heritage site, being held at the palace in Woodstock.

The event, which is designed to be accessible for triathletes of all abilities, will take place on June 1 and 2.

This year's event has seen high demand, with two of the most popular distances already sold out.

Now, prospective participants have just the super sprint or the weekend warrior challenge left for the Saturday, with places for the day's sprint and sprint team relay events taken up.

The super sprint involves a 0.4km swim, 13.3km cycle and 2.9km run, while the weekend warrior consists of a 0.75km swim, 19.8km cycle and 5.4km run.

Last year's triathlon welcomed around 5,000 people including famous faces such as BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley.

In the lead up to the triathlon, event organisers Motiv Sports UK hosted last week's Hackney Moves festival, which ended with the Wizz Air Hackney Half marathon in East London.

Stars of stage and screen, including Bridgerton's Jonathan Bailey, joined more than 20,000 runners at the event.
