Thames Valley Police have destroyed several cars after they were seized.

In a video uploaded to social media, the force showed how three seized cars were disposed of in an Oxfordshire scrapheap.

The vehicles had been taken by officers in Blewbury, Didcot on Monday, March 25, after all three cars had become bogged down in fields.

This had caused what officers described as “significant criminal damage” to the fields causing them to be seized by the force.

By destroying the seized cars, the police maintain their commitment to dealing with rural crime in the county.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: “On the 25th March 2024 three vehicles were seized from Blewbury, Didcot after becoming bogged down in fields.

“The vehicles had caused significant criminal damage to cropped fields.

“The disposal of these vehicles shows our commitment to tackling crime in our rural communities.”
