An elderly woman was injured when a man tried to rob her as she sat on a bench on a busy road.
The attempted robbery happened in New Street in Chipping Norton between 12.25pm and 12.45pm on Thursday (April 18).
The victim, a woman in her 80s, was sitting on a bench on New Street, when a man aged between 18 and 35 approached her from behind and tried to steal her bag
He did not get the bag but the victim did sustain minor injuries.
She did not require medical treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference number 43240177595.
